Brendan has been involved in making wine since 2014. He has completed vintages in France and Italy. Brendan makes wine with fruit hand picked from a select number of vineyards around NSW. Most recently Orange and Canowindra. One vineyard was certified “organic” the other hadn’t sprayed herbicide or pesticide in 6 years and its focus was on rdejuvinative farming, which are import aspects for Brendan. He has made the last 2 vintages here in Sydney @ Mecca Coffee in Alexandria. It is a very hands on and natural process. With only a tiny addition of sulphur added prior to bottling. These wines are under the label “Carto” and the 2019 vintage will be released in early 2020. Please check out our “Carto Wine” website.

Since 2015 Brendan has travelled to The Adelaide Hills to help out his good friend Erinn Klein from Ngeringa Biodynamic Vineyard. In 2018 the pair decided to make a wine together under a collaboration label called “Ngarto”. The first vintage of Ngarto was a Syrah/Viognier, using some of the best parcels of fruit from the “Illuma” Vineyard. The wine has been well received and was given a score of 94 points from Wine Front reviewer, Mike Bennie.
